Pennsylvania Ballet will be holding open auditions for the Company on Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the School of American Ballet, located at 70 Lincoln Plaza at the intersection of 65th and Amsterdam (165 West 65th Street) in New York City. This is an open audition for the Company (AGMA, non-AGMA) for men and women. Registration begins at 12 p.m. It is a class audition for women at 12:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. for men. All dancers must provide pictures and resumes at the audition. Women should be prepared to dance en pointe. There are no height requirements. Compensation will be negotiated according to AGMA scale.
This is the only open audition date that Pennsylvania Ballet will be holding. If you are unable to attend this audition, you may request a Company class audition by sending a letter of introduction stating that you have a conflict with the open audition date. Please include your resume, headshot, full-body photograph and a DVD. After we receive your letter we will review your experience and get back to you if your request has been approved.
We apologize but due to the volume of requests, we can not respond personally to all applications. We can only respond to the approved applicants. All correspondence should be sent to Michael Sheridan, Assistant to the Artistic Director, Pennsylvania Ballet, 1819 JFK Boulevard, Suite 210, Philadelphia, PA19103. You may also e-mail your request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Absolutely no requests will be taken over the phone or in person. This is the only way you can be considered for a Company class audition.
Thank you for your interest in Pennsylvania Ballet.
