ADAPTIVE CLASSES FOR CHILDREN WITH DOWN SYNDROME
Pennsylvania Ballet offers weekly classes for children and teenagers ages 8-16 with Down Syndrome at Artists in Motion in Cherry Hill, NJ. These unique classes, now in their pilot year, were designed to help fill a void in a region lacking access to adaptive programs for youth with Down Syndrome.
ADAPTIVE CLASSES FOR ASSOCIATED SERVICES FOR THE BLIND
Pennsylvania Ballet ballet classes at the Associated Services for the Blind & Visually Impaired once a week from September through April, as well as trips to the ballet with audio-description provided. Watch WHYY’s segment on this program here.
DANCE FOR SENIORS
Pennsylvania Ballet is committed to partnering with organizations focused on serving senior citizens in the greater Philadelphia area. With the primary goal of inviting others to participate in the joy of dance, Pennsylvania Ballet will offer the region’s elderly citizens an opportunity to not only participate in master classes at our home studio, but also make group trips to the Academy of Music to attend dress rehearsals and matinee series performances.
