Austin Eyler spent his early years training with world-renowned teachers John White and Margarita De Saa’. As well, he attended several summer intensive programs on full scholarship, including American Ballet Theatre, the Sarasota Cuban Ballet School, and Campaneria Ballet School in Cary, North Carolina, where, under the direction of Miguel Campaneria, Austin competed in multiple international ballet competitions. Most recently, he received a bronze medal for highest scoring pas de deux for Le Corsaire at the 2016 World Ballet Competition. Also in 2016, Austin earned 2nd place at the Youth American Grand Prix (YAGP) – Tampa in the senior men’s classical, 3rd place at YAGP – Tampa in the small ensemble category for Le Corsaire pas de deux, and he received job offers and multiple scholarships, including Ballet San Antonio, Ballet West, Boston Ballet, and the Kirov School.
Austin joined Pennsylvania Ballet as a member of PBII for our 2016/2017 season and was promoted to apprentice for 2017/2018. He has performed with the company in Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella, Angel Corella’s Le Corsaire, and George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®.
