Meet Jake

Hometown: Medford, Oregon
Jake Roxander began his dance training at the age of 7 and has studied exclusively with his parents at their school, Studio Roxander in Medford, Oregon. He was awarded a full merit scholarship to Philadelphia Ballet’s, formerly Pennsylvania Ballet, week-long “Company Experience” workshop in both 2017 and 2018, and also to ABT’s NY Summer Intensive which he attended in 2019.  During his childhood, Jake also took gymnastics and voice lessons and performed in several musical theatre productions in Southern Oregon.  Jake was awarded the Youth Grand Prix award at the YAGP Seattle semi-finals in 2016 and 2017; and the Grand Prix Award at the Las Vegas semi-finals in 2018 and 2019.  Jake was highlighted as one of “The 7 Youth America Grand Prix Competitors You Should Have Your Eye On” in 2019.

FUN FACT

Jake started ballet when he was 2.5 years old and trained with his parents. He is also obsessed with superheroes and comic books.
