Meet Katherine

Hometown: Newark, DE
Katherine Capristo began her ballet training at the age of two at Delaware Dance Company in Newark, DE and later became a student with The School of Pennsylvania Ballet beginning in 2016. She has supplemented her training with summer intensive programs at American Ballet Theatre in New York City, Boston Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, the Kirov Academy of Ballet, and the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet. She was a top award winner at the Regional Dance America Festival (2015, 2016) and was honored to have been a two-time recipient of the “Artistry Award” at the Delaware Dance Festival. Since beginning at the School of Pennsylvania Ballet, she has had the honor to perform in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, Angel Corella’s Le Corsaire, and George Balanchine’s Western Symphony with Pennsylvania Ballet, and has danced the pas de deux from Samantha Dunster’s La Fille Mal Gardée for the School’s 2017 showcase. Katherine joined the Pennsylvania Ballet II for their 2017/18 season.
