Kemper Cassada started his ballet training at the age of 11, in Jacksonville,FL at The Florida Ballet under Artistic Director,Laurie Byrd, from 2009-2011. He then moved to Tampa, FL when offered a full scholarship to train with Peter Stark, Artistic Director of The Next Generation Ballet. Kemper trained with Peter Stark & Ivonne Lemus from 2011-2013. Leaving Next Generation Ballet as an Apprentice and moving to The Royal Ballet School, London on full scholarship 2013-2014, offered to him by then Artistic Director, Gailene Stock. Kemper returned to the US and continued his training in 2014-2017 on full scholarship with The School of American Ballet, under Jock Soto and Jonathon Stafford. His Summer Intensive training includes Orlando Ballet, Next Generation Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and The School of American Ballet on scholarship
Kemper was the Youth America Grand Prix Junior Men’s Gold Medalist in the Tampa Semi Finals in 2012 and Senior Men’s Silver Medalist in 2013, qualifying him for the NYC Youth America Grand Prix Finals both years and earned a place to compete in the Final Rounds both years. Kemper has performed Nutcracker Prince, Lead Chinese, Russian and Rat in multiple productions of Nutcracker and the Lead Dance Master in Cinderella. Also, performing in The School of American Ballet’s 2017 Student Choreography Workshop. Kemper had the opportunity to perform with New York City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre before graduating from The School of American Ballet this past June 2017. Kemper joins Pennsylvania Ballet II for the 2017-2018 Season.
