From Short Hills, NJ, Leah Hirsch began her ballet training at New Jersey Ballet and Studio Maestro in New York City. In 2005, she went on to study year-round at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, spending several summers there and performing featured roles in ballets such asWilliam Tell and George Balanchine’s Valse Fantaisie, La Source, and Serenade. She also spent summers at Boston Ballet School, Pennsylvania Ballet’s Beyond Technique intensive, and Boston Ballet's Choreographic Intensive under the direction of Helen Pickett and Thaddeus Davis in 2011.
In Fall 2011, Ms. Hirsch joined Pennsylvania Ballet II and was promoted to Apprentice for the 2013-2014 Season. With the Company, she has performed in Giselle, Twyla Tharp’s Push Comes to Shove, Robert Weiss's Messiah, Trey McIntyre's Peter Pan, Christopher Wheeldon’s Carnival of the Animals, George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™, The Four Temperaments, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
