Corps de Ballet
Marria Cosentino-Chapin grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she began dancing at the Cleveland Ballet School. At age 15, she moved to New York City to study at The School of American Ballet. She attended multiple summer intensive programs including Miami City Ballet and multiple summers in Chautauqua, New York under the direction of Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux. In 2007, Mrs. Cosentino-Chapin joined Carolina Ballet for the first time, dancing with the company for two years. She rejoined the company in 2011, after dancing with Judith Fugate and Medhi Bahiri’s BalletNY. Mrs. Cosentino-Chapin joined Pennsylvania Ballet as a member of the Corps de Ballet for the 2013-2014 Season.
Mrs. Cosentino-Chapin has performed several works with the Company, including George Balanchine’s Jewels, Allegro Brillante, and Serenade, Christopher Wheeldon's Swan Lake and Polyphonia, Jerome Robbins' Fancy Free, Jiří Kylián’s Petite Mort, Alexei Ratmansky's Jeu de Cartes, John Butler’s Carmina Burana, Robert Weiss’ Grieg: Piano Concerto, and Matthew Neenan’s Penumbra.
