Samantha Barczak

Corps de Ballet

An upstate New York native, Samantha Barczak received the majority of her dance training at Myers Ballet School.  She continued her studies on scholarship at The Rock School for Dance Education, American Ballet Theatre, and the New York State Summer School for the Arts.  She has performed as a guest artist with multiple companies in the United States such as Dayton Ballet, Northeast Ballet Company, and Long Island Ballet Theatre.  In 2009, Ms. Barczak became a principal dancer and outreach coordinator for The Rebecca Davis Dance Company where she remained through the company’s last performance.
 
Under the direction of Christopher Fleming, Ms. Barczak performed principal roles with BalletFleming, Contrast Dance Theatre, and Circus Nexus, as well as serving as Ballet Mistress and Repetiteur for Mr. Fleming’s Ballet in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. With a great passion for teaching, Ms. Barczak helped found the Philadelphia Ballet School in 2010, where she continues to serve as Associate Director.
 
Ms. Barczak performed as a guest artist with Pennsylvania Ballet in productions Christopher Wheeldon’s Swan Lake, Sir Frederick Ashton’s La Fille mal gardée, and George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™. Ms. Barczak joined the Corps de Ballet of Pennsylvania Ballet for the 2011-2012 Season. She has danced featured roles in ballets such as George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker™ (Coffee),  Raymonda Variations (Variation V), and Matthew Neenan’s 11:11.
