Ben Schwarz began his training in 2015 under Marcia Dale Weary at The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. While there he spent two years training as part of the male scholarship program. In 2017, he was invited to The School of American Ballet’s winter term. There he trained for three years under many former and current NYCB dancers such as Jonathan Stafford, Arch Higgins, and Andrew Scordato to name a few. While in New York City, he participated in The New York Choreographic Institute and originated roles in works choreographed by Alyssa Spires, Norbert Del La Cruz III, Silas Farley, and Preston Chamblee. In The School of American Ballet’s annual workshop performance, Ben performed in Balanchine classics such as Western Symphony and Bourée Fantasque, as well as neo-classical works such as Justin Peck’s In Creases. He is very excited to be joining Pennsylvania Ballet II for the 2020-2021 season.
