After an afternoon full of playing, the 3 Little Kittens, Gracie, Bitsy and Mitsy, make their way back home. They get very excited when their Mother comes out of the kitchen with a freshly baked pie.  It smells delicious, but as they reach to try some, their Mother stops them.  She asks them where their mittens are. The Kittens are shocked to realize they don’t have them on anymore and they begin to cry.  Their Mother tells them they must find their mittens or they will not have any pie. As Mitsy continues to cry, Bitsy tries to remember where they might be. Meanwhile, Gracie decides that they should retrace their steps and go back and find their mittens.  Together, the 3 Little Kittens start off on their journey.

As they retrace their steps, they end up in many different places.  They find themselves in beautiful palaces, deep into forests, climbing hills and even in other people’s homes.  With each step they take and all the different people they meet, they gradually find their mittens and meet some amazing friends along the way.
