NATIONAL SUMMER INTENSIVE AUDITION

Audition Fee $80

As we navigate the current national pandemic, professional ballet schools from across the nation have come together to create a unified collective.  We understand the uncertainty of the coming audition season and summer intensive offerings, and we have created an audition opportunity that will keep our students and faculty safe, while providing national visibility. The National Summer Intensive Audition professional school collective is offering in-person auditions at their facilities, and students who attend the National Summer Intensive Audition will be considered by all schools in the collective for acceptance to their summer intensives. Use the link provided below to learn more about NSIA.

Please note that all dancers must pass a COVID screening upon arrival including a temperature check. Additionally, per local mandates, all dancers will be socially distanced and must wear a mask. If you are planning on traveling from another state, please be aware of the travel restrictions for the state of Pennsylvania. The School of Pennsylvania will be observing those restrictions! (For example: The current restrictions: “Anyone who visits Pennsylvania from another state, including Pennsylvanians returning to the Commonwealth, must get tested within 72 hours prior to entering the Commonwealth. If an individual is unable to get a test prior to entering the Commonwealth, is waiting for test results, or chooses not to get a test, they must quarantine for 10 days upon arrival in our state or secure a negative test, whichever is first.” We realize this is not optimal but respectfully ask you not to push this safety protocol. It is in place for the safety of all who enter our facility.) Current travel restrictions can be found HERE.

ACADEMIC YEAR AUDITIONS

Auditions are not required for The School’s Children’s Program (ages 3 to 8 years). As well, this program is not part of the graded curriculum at The School of Pennsylvania Ballet; therefore, Children’s Program students seeking admission to the Student Program will need to be reevaluated by our faculty (in lieu of an audition) at the end of the program year in order to determine if they are ready for advancement.

If you are interested in auditioning for our Student or Professional hybrid programs simply contact Joanne Smith at jsmith@paballet.org or 215.587.6942. Prospective students are welcome to email a link to a recent audition video for consideration. If you choose to send a video please be sure to include the following information:
