The path to becoming a professional artist is long and highly-focused. At Pennsylvania Ballet, we have all felt the loss of live performances deeply, but none have been affected more than our dancers and musicians. Their single-minded pursuit of a life on stage means that current circumstances deprive them of both their passion and their livelihood.
Pennsylvania Ballet has launched a new Artists Fund to back a commitment to our dancers for salaries and studio time beginning in the new year, and to our musicians for future engagements when conditions allow.
The Artists Fund is just one of the many strategic ways Pennsylvania Ballet has responded to the challenges of recent months. We are confident these steps will allow us to return to the stage stronger than ever. We look forward to bringing you live ballet once again—soon and safely. In the meantime, we invite you to join us in supporting the artists who inspire us.
Artists have always relied on the support of their patrons. This is true now more than ever. Thank you for your commitment to the artists of Pennsylvania Ballet.
